The Annual Meeting of the Anthropologists and Sociologists of Kentucky (ASK), hosted by the Sociology Department of Western Kentucky University, will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 in Bowling Green, KY.

Keynote Speaker: Kevin J.A. Thomas is an Associate Professor of Sociology, Demography, and African Studies at the Pennsylvania State University. Thomas's research focuses on international migration, racial and ethnic inequality, children and families, as well as population and development issues in the United States and Africa. His research has appeared in leading journals such as Demography, International Migration Review, Journal of Marriage and Family, and Social Science Research.He served on the 2014 National Academy of Sciences panel on the integration of immigrants in the US, and on its 2015 panel on the educational success of young English language learners. He currently serves as a deputy editor on the journal Demography.

You are invited to organize a session, present a paper, and/or organize a roundtable. Encourage your students both undergraduate and graduate to come and present their research. If you would like to present please return the response form below as soon as possible. If you have an idea for a session but need help locating other presenters, please email for assistance.
