Abstract

Finding aid only for Mansucripts Small Collection 2264. Thirteen poems relating to the Civil War, some to be sung to popular tunes of the era, copied on lined ledger paper. Some of the poems praise the Union forces in the Kentucky battles of Mill Springs and Perryville; others relate to Lincoln's 1860 election and to Confederate raider John Hunt Morgan.
