Abstract

Finding aid and scans (Click on "additional files" below) for Manuscripts Small Collection 183. Typescripts and photocopies of two 1813 letters written by Samuel Bains serving at Fort Strother and Fort Deposit in Alabama to his wife Christiana, Dixons Creek, Smith County, Tennessee, describing battles against the Indians and military life.
