Business papers, 1852-1919 (103 items), mainly receipts and chiefly of James Newton Forgy, Sr., a blacksmith of Butler County, Kentucky; a few family letters, primarily from his son, Thomas Jefferson Forgy, a Church of Christ minister of Texas, 1881-1899 (5); and Forgy biographical material.
