Finding aid only for Manuscripts Small Collection 404. Letters, Washington, District of Columbia, to J.C. Spencer and William Wilkins, Secretaries of War, regarding Thomas Sidney Jesup’s opinion of Rouses’ Point, New York, as a military post, and his defense of the Seminole Indians’ claims and his concern for their ill-treatment by the U.S. government. Also, an article entitled “Notice of the late Major General Brown, by Major General Jesup, 1828 (?).
