Finding aid only for Manuscripts Small Collection 3121. Letter, 4 May 1873, of James (or John) T. McIntosh to his wife Mary. Writing from Louisville, Kentucky on an apparent selling trip, he describes attending church, visiting the steamer Charles Brown at Jeffersonville, and the purchases he has made for her and their daughters Anne, Sallie, Lela, Fawn, Olinda and Bonnie. He expresses doubts about making money on the trip, but advises that Owensboro is his next destination.
