Abstract

Finding aid only for Manuscripts Collection 229. This collection consists almost exclusively of World War II correspondence of Sammie D. Akers, a Logan County, Kentucky native. Approximately two-thirds of the correspondence is with his mother, Betty A. Akers, with whom he discusses the home farm, potential land purchases, church news, and local events.
