Description

Port Royal Bridge in Montgomery County, Tennessee crossing the Red River. The bridge was originally built prior to the Civil War and swept away by flood in 1866. The second bridge collapsed in 1903 during reconditioning. A third bridge was built on the site in 1904. Housed in WKU Library Special Collections.
