Photograph taken by Little Colonel fan Evelyn Dulany Tackett (1934-2012) of Mississippi while on her pilgrimage to Pewee Valley, Kentucky. The Locust was the prototype for the home of Lloyd Sherman ("The Little Colonel") in Annie Fellows Johnston's Little Colonel Series and for the Fox Film in which Shirley Temple starred in 1935.
