Abstract

Finding aid only for Folklife Archives Project 862. Paper: “The Poisonous Bite of the Blue Gummed [Negro].” Scholarly (chiefly from North Carolina) and local (chiefly from Mississippi) examples of the folk belief are provided. This project was conducted by Patty M. Bryant, a student at Western Kentucky University for a course in folk studies.
