Abstract
The Bowling Green Western Symphony Orchestra reached its centennial year in 2008. This monograph celebrates the history of cooperation between Western Kentucky University’s Music Department and community musicians and supporters. By necessity, the text examines the history of WKU’s Music Department and sets the Orchestra within the community’s musical context.
