Abstract

Finding aid only for Manuscripts Small Collection 2400. Two letters from William M. "Mack" Muncy to Eliza Ranson, written from Camp Zachary Taylor, Louisville, Kentucky while serving with the 159th Depot Brigade. He writes of drills, vaccinations and social activities. He also refers to desertion and suicide among his comrades and to the treatment of conscientious objectors by the military.
