Abstract

Finding aid only for Manuscripts Small Collection 3372. Printed letter in her handwriting, May 1979, from Margaret Thatcher to Mrs. Hobson Sinclair (June Rose Garrott), Bowling Green, Kentucky, thanking her for her message of congratulation on Thatcher’s election as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. “We were thrilled with the decisive result and good majority,” the letter states, and declares that “there is work to be done” to fulfill the trust placed in her government by the public.
