Abstract

Finding aid only for Manuscripts Small Collection 1623. In her unpublished account, "Memories," Louise (Brown) Hale describes rural life in the Daviess County, Kentucky, community of Whitesville between the world wars. She recalls family and community members, farm and home chores, her marriage, and her eventual move to California. Also includes two New Years letters to her grandchildren.
