Abstract
Gavin G. Craig (1896-1976) joined the faculty of the Western Kentucky State Normal School and Teachers College in 1922 and taught penmanship there for more than forty years. He also gave instruction to the public by mail, grading his correspondents' work according to his own Advanced Handwriting Scale.
