Boone [5 pounds, cloth corn meal bag] produced by the B & W Milling Company in Boone County, Kentucky. Boone is an appropriate name for a Kentucky corn meal whether produced in Boone County or not. This rather crudely printed cloth bag features an image of Daniel Boone, whose name is indelibly associated with the Commonwealth. Stone ground means that grist stones were used in milling the corn; during the process some of the hull and germ remains and the meal has a coarser texture. Foodies claim this provides a more interesting flavor to baked goods.
