Tiara awarded to Kay Washer as Valentine Queen 1965.

College Heights Herald, Feb. 10, 1965, Sweetheart Dance Set:

Cupid is sharpening his arrows in preparation for the annual Sweetheart Ball Friday night.

The event will be in the A-A Building [Diddle Arena] from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. The Sultans will provide the music.

Those attending the dance will vote for and elect a king and queen from among those nominated by the sophomore class.

Candidates for Queen are Kay Washer, Pam Picard, Ann Greenwell, Linda Thomas and Brenda Haynes.

King nominees are Ron Miller, Al Smith, Ronnie Roberts, Rick Guillaume and David Ross.

Tickets are $2 in advance and $2.50 at the door. Sophomore class officers have tickets for sale. Officers are Joe Cool, Louie Tonini, Cecilia Hammons and David Arvin.
