Clipping related to King John of Abyssinia in 1884 from a scrapbook created by Katie Piatt of Woodland, Kentucky. Piatt used a copy o fthe book Commerce & Navigation,1857 given to D.S. Piatt, December 25, 1857 by Hon. H. Marshall, Washington City. She added the inscription Katie D. Piatt, "Woodland," Ky. 1893.
Piatt had a great fascination with the the royal families of Europe and Asian families as well as ancient Egypt.
