Description
From a German manuscript, dated 1669, a Manual of Devotions, which includes some simple and very touching prayers. The script, as will be seen is a German Gothic of singular beauty and clarity, the rubricated initials of an earlier day being here replaced by flourishes. The scribe, laboring neither for praise nor recognition, has modestly withheld his name.
