Abstract
The Critical Introduction to The Myths They Tolled explores the thematic context for the novel, as well as some of the craft elements of the novel. The story relies on the free indirect discourse point of view and falls into the young adult dystopian fiction genre. The introduction also addresses both literary and personal influences that were instrumental to writing the novel.
