Namesakes:
John B. Rodes (1870-1970) regent, Bowling Green native and member of the Ogden College Class of 1889. He went on to study law at the University of Virginia. Rodes was a close friend of Henry Cherry, served as Bowling Green mayor from 1929 to 1933 and appointed Warren Circuit Judge in 1948.

Max B. Harlin (1876-1944) a Clay County, TN native he grew up in Warren County and served as WKU regent from 1928 through 1932. He was admitted to the bar in 1896 and practiced law in Tompkinsville and Glasgow before moving to Bowling Green in 1909.
