Abstract
Finding aid and scans (Click on "Additional Files" below) for Folklife Archives Project 133. 45 r.p.m. record, with sleeve, of “Paducah’s Layin’ Round the Bend” and “Ferd Harold Blues,” two traditional songs sung by roustabouts who worked on steamboats on the Ohio and Tennessee rivers. Issued by Century Records, the recording features Bertha W. Wenzel, vocalist, and Bill Small, accompanist; also 33-1/3 r.p.m. record with sleeve, “Folk Songs of the River,” collected by Mary Wheeler and sung by Bertha Wheeler Wenzel with accompaniment by Bill Small.
