By-laws for Local Union No. 862, Madisonville, Kentucky, of the United Mine Workers (n.d.); copy of an agreement between the Western Kentucky Coal Operators' Association and UMW members, 1939; copies of Lowther's pay receipts, 1943-1950, from the Williams Coal Mine in Christian County and Hopkins County, Kentucky.
