Abstract

Finding aid and scan (Click on "Additional Files" below) for Manuscripts Small Collection 411. Certification that Ezra Pering had deposited $100 in a letter directed to C. Pering, Louisville, Kentucky. Signed by J. M. Berry, Postmaster. Letters containing money were sent by this method, with the recipient's postmaster witnessing the opening of the letter.
