Typescripted diary of Emeline Holden Richmond, Newark, New Jersey, kept from 14 August through 10 October 1826 during her journey to Mississippi, where she planned to serve as a teacher of Indian children and Presbyterian missionary. Includes family and biographical data and information about the mission.
