Abstract

Finding aid and scan (Click on "Additional Files" below) for Manuscripts Small Collection 2927. Transcript of a recorded interview with Edwin R. Tanksley, Bowling Green, Kentucky, an employee of the Louisville & Nashville Railroad from 1925-1960. He recalls his career as a railroad clerk, the skill of his co-workers, the development of railroading in the area, and aspects of Bowling Green such as hotels, entertainment, and visits by political figures. Both the interviewer’s name and the whereabouts of the original recording are unknown.
