Abstract

Finding aid and scans (Click on "additional files" below) for Manuscripts Small Collection 52. Letters (2) written by George P. Jouett, Lieutenant Colonel U.S.A., to his mother, Mrs. Matthew H. Jouett, Lexington, Kentucky from Bowling Green, Kentucky, and Nashville, Tennessee. He writes of Confederate fortifications abandoned in Bowling Green (“a Gibraltar which could not be taken by an assault”), and of family matters. Also letters (2), 1944-1945, concerning the earlier letters.
