Letter of Henry Lloyd Tevis, Fayette County, Kentucky, 11 January 1849, to Andrew Jackson Downing requesting a subscription to Downing’s magazine, The Horticulturist. Tevis praises the publication and its influence on his decision to move to a rural setting.
