Finding aid only for Manuscripts Small Collection 3355. Typescripted account of Elizabeth (Cherry) McCallum’s experiences after she entered nursing school in 1913 in Kentucky. She subsequently served as a Red Cross nurse during World War I and as superintendent of nurses at Louisville Children’s Hospital. Includes her note about writing the piece, and her short article about rural life, published in the (Louisville) Courier-Journal.
