Abstract

Finding aid only for Manuscripts Small Collection 1413. Letter written by Oscar Wood, Decatur, Alabama, to Mary Hanley, Cairo, Illinois. Wood, a Civil War soldier serving with the Wisconsin Volunteers, relates about being at Paducah, Kentucky, in March when Confederate General Nathan B. Forrest attempted to engage them in battle.
