Abstract

Fidning aid only for Manuscripts Small Collection 2309. Diary kept by Confederate Henry N. Steel, a second lieutenant serving in the Warren Light Artillery, Warren County, Mississippi, from 17 August 1861 to 31 December 1861. Brief entries discuss troop movements and skirmishes in Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, and especially southcentral Kentucky. He makes more in-depth comments about a skirmish at Woodsonville, Hart County, Kentucky on 17 December 1861.
