Abstract

Finding Aid only for Manuscripts Small Collection 3092. Record of proceedings in Commonwealth of Kentucky v. James Turpin, wherein the defendant was adjudged a lunatic and ordered taken to the asylum in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. The record of the Garrard County, Kentucky court provides names of jurors as well as the circumstances contributing to Turpin’s condition, most notably his killing of a neighbor.
