Description
"The Last Chord," edition 13/24 is an image of an old reed organ in a old church. Note: The printmaker noted in "Landmarks: 40 Prints from 40 Years of Printmaking" that this linoleum print made from drawings of an old reed organ from a church in Webster County that was being remodeled. The print "won the purchase award at a competition held at Kentucky Wesleyan College and has been in more demand than most of my prints." He also recalled that the "local people did not understand why I made a picture of the old organ when I could have drawn the new piano. they did not recognize the reed organ as a musical landmark."
