1844 Clay-Frelinghuysen silk campaign ribbon promoting the Whig Party slate of Henry Clay and Theodore Frelinghuysen for the Presidency and Vice Presidency. It promotes Whig Principles!! and ”The Spirit of ’40 is Up” and includes renderings of a log cabin and a barrel of gunpowder as part of its overall design. Dimensions are height =10.5 inches and width = 3 inches.
