Description

The Queen Elizabeth Way Monument also called the Lion Monument is an art deco monument located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It was built in 1940 to mark the entrance to the Queen Elizabeth Way. The monument was removed in the 1970s when the highway was enlarged to eight lanes. This item is in the travel scrapbook kept by Ilee Smith during the summer of 1953.
