Description
Cannonball found on battlefield near Munfordville, Kentucky. From letter in file: "This cannon ball was, at the Battle of Munfordville, on Sunday the 14th of September 1862, fired from the Fort at the Railroad Bridge at the Southern troops assaulting the Fort near the Woodsonville Church. It passed through the dwelling house which then stood where the present dwelling of Mrs. Bettie Bailey stands, and landed in the yard close to the house."
