Round medal. On the obverse side there is a picture of a tomb and the following inscription erected to the unknown Confederate dead / By a surviving comrade / at Hopkinsville, KY/May 19, 1887 on the reverse side appears this inscription - history will preserve the heroic Record of the dauntless spirits to whom this monument was erected.
