Photograph of a U.S. soldier with saber at his side. This photo was probably taken near Savannah, Georgia, where the 3rd Kentucky Infantry trained during the Spanish-American War. This is one of a number of photographs collected by Frank M. Thomas when he served as Chaplain for the Third Kentucky Infantry U.S.V. in Cuba.
