WKU's English Department is a lively, engaging, and welcoming place to study language, literature, writing, and culture. Our faculty have diverse interests including literature from medieval to modern; fiction, poetry, and memoir writing; teaching English as a second language; technical, business, and professional writing; and film studies and production.

To complement the classroom work, we have so many other activities that you won't be able to take advantage of them all: the English Club, the Film Club, our Creative Writing Readers Series, the Undergraduate Literature and Culture Conference, Zephyrus (our undergraduate literary magazine), The Ashen Egg (our undergraduate journal of English scholarship), and many internship and study abroad opportunities.
