I think it necessary that I should have that watch in order to be on time It is not in good working order now will you give it to Doc Warner to clean, and send it down by some responsible Persons. I ought to have taken it. I slept on Camp as I wrote you and it was cold. I sleep in City to night I can eat anything knapsacks Old Boots or any thing in that line, fried in Pork but some of the men can not but I must sleep warm when in C---will put up with any thing when . . .
