Counseling Concepts and Applications for Student Affairs Professionals (CNS 577)
Abstract
The transition into adulthood and college life comes with new freedoms and new responsibilities. This means that students must have the knowledge and discipline to balance what they need to do and what they want to do. Learning to manage time efficiently is a struggle for many college students. Without proper time management, students risk becoming disconnected from their university, doing poorly in classes, and even dropping out or becoming depressed. There are various ways to foster good time management habits. Creating awareness about the risks of poor time management and providing resources for students to better manage their time will help students begin to develop their time management skills.
