Abstract
Finding aid only for Manuscripts Small Collection 3108. Certificate, 23 February 1842, signed by 16 citizens of Leesburg, Kentucky regarding curious hair growth on the thumb and fingers of Penelope Stout. Although none had witnessed the hair growth, all believed it to be true based upon the testimony of others and the “character of the family,” the latter observation implying their practice of sorcery or witchcraft.
