Abstract
Finding aid only for Folklife Archives Project 1128. Student paper titled “Traditional American Tools” in which Michael Toadvine describes agricultural implements utilized by members of the Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill. Toadvine’s collected the bulk of his information from Nancy Shewmaker, a resident of Harrodsburg and tour guide at Pleasant Hill. The paper includes black and white photographs of different tools as well as brief descriptions of use and design.
