Abstract
Finding aid only for Folklife Archives Project 1165. Student paper titled “Murdered Girl Ballads” in whichBetty Lynn Litsey explores the various types of ballads and the recurrent themes found in each composition. Litsey identifies three forms of murder ballads and provides severalexamples for each type.
