Abstract

Finding aid only for Folklife Archive Project 1332. Collection of folk songs amassed by Margaret Crawford for a folk studies class at Western Kentucky University. Includes both published songs and songs collected from informants from south central Kentucky. Crawford includes song, name of informant, date of birth, city of residence, and date collected. Also includes a brief essay titled “The Spiritual: An American Folksong.”
