Abstract
Finding and and scan (Click on "Additional Files" below) for Folklife Archives Project 1391. “Cave Legends of the Mammoth Cave Region,” a project by WKU student Debbie Williams containing information collected from local informants about various aspects of Mammoth Cave, including its discovery, the naming of various parts of the cave, lighting, its use as a tuberculosis hospital, saltpeter mining, and cave mummies and skeletons. Includes a transcription of interviews with Lyman and Lewis Cutliff, and summaries of the circumstances of her interviews with all informants.
