Abstract

Finding aid only for Manuscripts Small Collection 2151. Materials relating to Elizabeth Meriwether Gilmer, a Montgomery County, Tennessee native, who wrote a syndicated advice column under the name “Dorothy Dix.” Includes clippings, magazine articles, photos, Christmas greetings, three letters to family members, and an album containing photos of her husband’s turpentine and tar refinery in New Orleans, Louisiana.
