Abstract

Finding aid and full text (click on "Additional Files") of letters written to Bettie Mae Geralds in Louisville, Kentucky, from family members and friends in Kentucky as well as in Omaha, Nebraska, and Bloomington and Evansville, Indiana. Topics include family news, fruit and vegetable canning, and difficulties finding work. Geralds’ son writes of his prosecution at Fort Knox for an offense committed while on military duty. Includes a 1967 letter from a Navy serviceman in Texas.
