Abstract

Finding aid and typescripts (Click on "Additional Files" below) for Manuscripts Small Collection 1419. Letters (pasted on inside backs of a Bible), 1781, 1786, written by soldier Nathaniel Lucas, Camp Surrey, Virginia, to his sweetheart Sarah Rivers, Brunswick County, Virginia, describing Revolutionary War events; 1786 letter to now wife Sarah containing family news. Later associated items relate to the weaving interests of Louisa Tate Bousman.
