Letter of Louis Arnold Rich, a U.S. Army private from Tompkinsville, Kentucky, written to his wife from Winter General Hospital in Topeka, Kansas, during a long illness that resulted in his death in 1944. He complains about his surroundings, mentions his reading, and expresses his wish to be reunited with her.
